We pride ourselves on providing an honest opinion when carrying out the survey on your property. The damp survey includes an external inspection to look for defects which may be causing any damp problems and an inspection of all the internal ground floor walls using a moisture meter to detect rising or penetrating damp. We use the Sovereign quantum moisture meter which is a new state of the art meter capable of measuring the moisture content of various substrates using both pad and pin sensors. In addition associated data such as air temperature, relative humidity and spot surface temperature are all available at the touch of a button. This allows the surveyor to diagnose and specifically identify any individual areas within the property at dew point, or close enough to pose a condensation problem. A bright traffic light series of LEDs display instant visual information and below this a numerical readout is available for recording specific readings.

Once dampness has been identified we will make recommendations on the most appropriate course of action to be taken and quote accordingly. All quotes will be jargon free and to the point.

Damp proofing work usually involves:

- The removal of contaminated plaster to affected areas (Usually to a metre high when rising damp has occured)

- Damp proof course injected into brick joints (No smell and environmentally friendly)

-Walls are then sealed with tanking slurry.

-Walls are replastered with Limelite plaster to a smooth finish.
