Most interior plaster work involves over skimming of existing walls which involves a thin coat of plaster to create a smooth fresh finish.

Badly affected walls can be made new by either the removal of the damaged plaster and the application of backing plaster followed by finishing plaster on top or the application of plasterboards,finished off with a plaster skim.
