We have been members of Derbyshire Trading Standards Trusted Trader Scheme since 2009.
Derbyshire Trusted Trader was set up in November 2008 to help local people find reliable traders and businesses who agree to do a good job at a fair price and commit to providing good customer service,
Derbyshire Trading Standards vets all the businesses on the Derbyshire Trusted Trader register.
Our full details including our most recent reviews can be found on their website.
We also have years of feedback on display on our website (Over 200 Reviews) which we hope shows that our business has being giving good service for many years.
In 2015 we became members of the Property Care Association.
Formerly part of the BWPDA (British Wood Preserving and Damp-proofing Association), the PCA is the trade body for the structural and basement waterproofing, wood preservation, damp proofing, wall tie replacement and structural maintenance industries in the UK.
PCA Members are:
Subject to a rigorous application process and ongoing checks in order to achieve and retain membership.
Audited and quality of work checked on site by a PCA assessor.
Subject to ongoing and regular technical, operational and procedural checks.
Required to have a qualified surveyor (CSRT).
Provide Continuous training for staff.
Able to offer third party insurance backed guarantees (GPI)
Required to adhere to a formal Code of Conduct and minimum Performance Standards.
Required to abide by a strict Code of Ethics.
Expected to co-operate with the PCA in the unlikely event of any problems or complaints.
Aswell as joining the PCA in 2015, we also became full members of the Trustmark Scheme.
TrustMark is the only Government Endorsed 'find a tradesperson' scheme.
The core services of TrustMark are in the Repair, Maintenance and Improvement sectors (RMI) of the building services trades, in simple terms anything you may have undertaken ‘in and around your home’.
The TrustMark Scheme delivers quality firms through its licence agreements with Scheme Operators and Registered Firms. Our Scheme Operators and Registered Firms commit to meeting the requirements of the TrustMark Core Criteria, which are reviewed and updated annually.
As part of our membership of the PCA, we are registed contractors with GPI.
GPI underwrites insurance backed guarantees (IBGs) for many different trade types and areas of industry. Both commercial and domestic sectors are catered for; with IBGs presently being written for glazing, roofing, waterproofing, damp proofing, timber treatment, property renovations, ECO installations and renewable energy systems.
The purpose of an IBG is to provide insurance backing to a written workmanship and/or material guarantee, given by a building contractor to a domestic or commercial customer (the owner of the insured works).
